Controlled sharing · FamiForm guide
How to share requested document details without sending everything
Sending an entire folder is convenient for the sender but often exposes more than the recipient asked for. A controlled share starts with the purpose and includes only the information needed for that purpose.

Choose the smallest useful selection
List the exact fields the recipient requested. If the values are sufficient, do not include the source document. If evidence is required, include only the relevant document and confirm that you are authorized to share it.
Check that fields belong to the intended person and that each value is current before creating the link.
Match controls to the situation
Use a short expiry for time-sensitive transfers, a low view limit when repeated access is unnecessary, and a separate passcode when the recipient can receive it through another channel.
Email delivery sends a secure link, not the selected values. A delivered message cannot be recalled, but its link can be invalidated.
Close the sharing loop
Review whether the recipient opened the link, then revoke it when the task is complete or if the destination was wrong. Extending a link should be a deliberate decision, not an automatic default.
Do not paste share tokens into support tickets, analytics, screenshots, or public messages. Anyone with an active link may be able to use it within its controls.
Can an email containing a share be recalled?
No, but the secure link inside it can be revoked.
Should I include a document and its extracted fields?
Only when the recipient needs both. Prefer the minimum information that completes the stated purpose.
